Sample collection

All specimen collection, transportation, and processing should be carried out under the principle of aseptic operation and pollution prevention

All collected specimens should be transported in leak proof and sealed sterile containers

Collect enough specimens

Each specimen should be labeled with the patient's name, submission number, specimen source, specific location, date, time, and relevant clinical information

Whole Blood

When using whole blood as the test sample, attention must be paid to the selection of anticoagulants, generally using EDTA-Na2 or sodium citrate, and not heparin

Whole blood samples, if used for DNA extraction testing, can be stored for a short period of time at 4 ℃. If used for RNA testing, RNA should be extracted as soon as possible after blood collection

Serum/Plasma

DNA testing can be carried out according to general serum sample processing procedures, which have little impact on RNA testing. The method of obtaining and storing samples may have a decisive impact on the test results. Using EDTA anticoagulation (heparin is strictly prohibited) for whole blood samples, plasma should be separated within 6 hours after anticoagulation. If using serum samples, serum should be separated as soon as possible (within 2 hours). Short term (1-2 weeks) storage of the samples can be at -20 ℃, and longer term storage should be at -70 ℃.

Our project implementation plan is as follows:

① Contact the person in charge of the bone marrow bank branch to confirm the volunteer's blood donation time

② Contact the local agent and express the necessary packaging materials for transportation to the agent in advance

③ Local agents go to the collection site to extract blood samples

④ The local agent will air transport blood samples to Shenzhen, and the SPEED headquarters will also courier the relevant documents to Shenzhen

⑤ Shenzhen agent receives blood samples and sends them abroad through DHL

⑥ Foreign customs clearance delivery

⑦ Customer signature

As of 2017, Shanghai Tengyi Pulse Time has successfully transported over 140 blood samples, covering countries such as Europe, the Americas, Australia, and Southeast Asia. From the transportation of conventional blood samples to the transportation of blood samples with temperature requirements, the urgent need for testing time for blood samples has been solved at a high speed.
